For Alfredo Lozano, immigration is more than legal work—it’s personal. As a first-generation American raised by two immigrant parents from Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico, Alfredo grew up witnessing the hopes, struggles, and determination of those who come to the United States to build a better life. That experience shaped his passion for helping others do the same.

He later supported his own wife in her journey to immigrate from Mexico, and today they are raising their children with a strong appreciation for diversity, culture, and the incredible richness that comes from different backgrounds. These experiences give Alfredo a deep sense of purpose in helping others find security, opportunity, and belonging in the U.S.

…To Becoming A Legal Advocate With A Mission

Before becoming an attorney, Alfredo served four years in the United States Marine Corps. As a proud veteran, he understands the unique immigration challenges that military families face—particularly when service members marry foreign-born spouses and want to bring them home to the U.S. His firsthand knowledge allows him to support fellow veterans with clarity, compassion, and real-world understanding.
After his service, Alfredo earned his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and received his Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University in Houston. He also completed a spring law program at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico, where he honed his legal Spanish and expanded his cross-border legal expertise.

Alfredo gained valuable legal experience in firms across Houston, Beaumont, and Corpus Christi, as well as through an internship with the Mexican Consulate in Houston. After working at a San Antonio firm focused on deportation defense, he launched Lozano Law Firm to focus exclusively on immigration law and build a practice rooted in personal connection and results.

Outside the office, Alfredo is a passionate aviator. He is a certified private pilot currently studying for his IFR certification and is an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). For him, aviation symbolizes the freedom and possibility that he also strives to help his clients achieve through immigration.

Alfredo is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization—an honor held by only a small percentage of Texas attorneys.
